Sengoku Basara 2 is a series produced by Devil May Crys Hiroyuki Kobayashi and a part of the team which worked for the Devil May Cry series took part on the Sengoku Basara 2 project as well. Sengoku Basara takes place in Japans Sengoku Jidai (Age of the country at war) which occured between 1467 and 1615. This sequel introduces many famous historical figures of the period such as Masamune Date, Yukimaru Sanada, Motochika Chousokabe, Hideyoshi Toyotomi, Nobunaga Oda... as well as the reproduction of more than 50 historical battles such as the Anegawa or Okehazama battles.
